Wonderful Antique 19c Chinese Carved Hardwood Rectangular Jewelry Box-signed

Here is a wonderful old Chinese wooden carved box that has been in the same family for many years. Because of downsizing, it has been released for sale. I believe it is from the Qing period. It is carved in high relief on all sides with figural panels portraying Chinese life. The box is 6 3/4" long, 5" wide, and 5 high. It is rectangular and has carved edges and corners. The box has a fitted lock and red velvet lining on the inside which has faded over the years. It also has a small removable tray as shown in photo eight. The hinges are in very good condition.

This box is in good condition for its age. The only damage is on the top corner--please see photo three.

The top right corner is damaged--a small piece was broken off many years ago. The box is signed--see photo 10.
