VTG Oriental Chinese Wood Jewelry Box with Brass & Ornate carved Jade with. This oriental jewelry box was acquired in a garage sale. The owner, an older lady, said that her grandmother brought it from China, and assured me that the box was at least 70 years old. It was kept in storage for a long time, and was handed down over and over in the family. Yet, there is no providence or brand markings on the item, so I can't assure the test or precedence of the item.

On the bottom side of the box, on one of its legs, there is a number 44 stamped on it. There is also a name and number carved stating "ATWELL SO946269". The box is wooden with brass accents on the corner sides. On the front and sides there are decorations that appear to be resin or jade (I do not know).

There are 3 small drawers inside, on the first one , there are 3 brass pieces that I do not know what they are for. The second drawer is empty, and the last drawer has a division for rings, and also has a stain mark. The box measures 7 inches tall, 5 1/2 wide, and length 4.

This box is very beautiful and very detailed. It shows excellent craftmanship and will complement any collection. Please use photos as part of description and zoom for more details.
