VINTAGE CHINESE WOODEN JEWELRY BOX w JADE INLAY

Stunning vintage Chinese wood and Jade inlaid jewellery chest with etched brass medallion & handle on top. The piece is heavily accented with etched brass and carved green jade. It comes with a lock & key.

The interior of the box is lined with embossed pink silk. There are four Jade panels that all have beautiful carvings. The Jade and the wood's dovetail joinery have both been appraised and puts the box's date to around early 1900's. The box measures 9 3/4" tall not including handle, 6 3/4" wide.

The interior drawers have ornate brass handles. The exterior drawer has a brass handle for easy opening and inside has a lift out section of the drawer with a secret compartment hidden beneath it.
