Pair of Vintage Wood Jewelry Trinket Box Velvet Lined -Chinese Good Luck Symbol
Up for sale is a set of two (2) Vintage Style Wooden Jewelry Boxes with Velvet-Lined Compartments, finely designed brass latches, interlocking wood corners and carved Chinese'Good Luck' symbols on the top. The larger one measures 14"x10"x6, weighs 6 lbs, and is adorned with light blue velvet lined compartments, as well as a secret bottom compartment. The smaller one measures 11"x9"x2.5 and weighs 36.5 oz. (2.25 lbs) with no secret compartment and dark brown velvet lined inner compartments. Bottoms may be made of a different type of wood as part of the design.
They appear to be complementary pieces, made in a vintage traditional Chinese style. They were acquired as part of a larger Collector's Estate and are both in excellent condition, with no chips cracks or structural damage. Very light scuffing from wear and light use. The larger box also has two brass handles and they both stand on 4 low legs.
Fine detailed floral carvings on the brass latches and well-designed interlocking wood corner edges. Please see all pictures as part of description.
