Qing dynasty carved wood jewelry box/w insert. This is an elaborately carved five panel Chinese, Canton, 19 century Qing dynasty carved wood jewelry box. This box is very detailed with deep carving On all five panels. There is no key for this box. It does have an insert, see photos. It has royal purple lining on the inside. There is some minor damage to the carvings due to age and use but it does not detract from the integrity of the peace. It is in very good antique condition with only minor loss. This is a rare and handsome piece to have survived in this condition.
