Vintage Asian Chinese 4 Drawer Letters /Jewelry Chest Stand-up Mirror Wooden. Nice Vintage present in excellent condition.

Handsome lacquered 4 drawer jewelry chest with retractable stand-up mirror when top tier is lifted. The front portion of the top is hinged, so that the hidden mirror falls into place to automatically stand up in the cavity where it was concealed. Drawers are horizontally divided, each forming 2 compartments.

The hardware (side handles, latched front, corners of base) is bronzed metal. The insides of the drawers are lined with paper imprinted with Chinese characters and designs of old life. It measures 11" high, 13" deep, 11" wide including the base which is 3/4" all around the bottom. The beveled mirror inside measures 7" x 9". Counting the drawers and the metal hardware, this is a heavy piece.
